About Us
West Galloway SOC hold monthly meetings throughout the winter in Stranraer Library for an interesting, varied range of informal talks, films & presentations.
We also have regular outdoor excursions across the region, especially throughout the summer.
Details of both indoor and outdoor events can be found on the events page of this site. We are a friendly group and welcome new members of all ages and birding abilities.
About the SOC
The Scottish Ornithologists' Club plays a central role in Scottish birdwatching, bringing together amateur birdwatchers, keen birders and research ornithologists to document, study and enjoy Scotland's varied birdlife.
Membership of the SOC is open to everyone with an interest in birds in Scotland. As a member you will receive the Club's publications and be able to attend indoor and field meetings.
